I've been on topband since I was licenced (in 1969) and was mobile on 160 when you still needed a separate licence! At home in Birmingham for LF and 160 I use a 240ft end-fed at 18Mtrs high, for 80 and above I use a 50m long doublet + 6m/4m/2m/70cm verticals. When operating from my parent's home in Scotland I use a dipole at 20Mtrs high plus anything else I bother to string-up whilst I'm there. There are several things here that may interest you; a design for a 500 Watt Mosfet PA for 160-40M, loads of info if you fancy mobile or remote operation, an easy loop aerial for small gardens and a few simple circuits.
